One of our society’s members, Titta Kotilainen, will be starting an exciting new research project as an independent researcher at the Finnish Natural Resources Institute (LUKE) in the autumn. To this research group the Natural Resources Institute is recruiting a post doc (starting 1st September 2018).
Knowledge of photobiology research will be applied to meet the practical demands of plant production in innovative ways. So, we are looking for someone with a background in plant photobiology, good writing skills, and imaginative ideas about how to apply this knowledge. It is a very good time to be considering how to improve production efficiency in controlled environments with a revolution in lighting technologies and demand for nutritious healthy food that has been sourced from farm-to-plate in an environmentally-friendly way.
The post-doc position at LUKE is based in Turku, Finland, and funded for 2+1 years. LUKE offers good subsequent career opportunities and is a great working environment – find out more here.
