Organisation of UV4Plants 2018 Conference
UV4Plants invites expressions of interest from the membership to host the 2018 Conference The Conference will be held over 3 days to give ample time for informal discussion as well as a full programme of lectures and poster sessions and possibly an excursion. In addition, a Training School for early-stage researchers will be held immediately before the Conference at the same venue. Those interested in hosting the Conference should send expressions of interest to the Secretary, UV4Plants (secretary@uv4plants.org) by 3 February 2017, including the names of the proposed organisers, possible venues, accessibility (travel options), a provisional indication of costs for the venue and for attendees, and any other information that will help the UV4Plants Managing Committee to select the venue. There is no need to give details of the proposed programme as this will be discussed in detail with the organisers. As a reminder some statistics from the successful UV4Plants 2016 Conference in Pécs Conference: 64 participants from 17 countries and 27 institutes oral presentations: 28, posters: 22 Training school: 23 participants from 7 countries and 11 institutes The book of abstracts is available for download as well as galleries of photographs from the conference and photographs from the training school.

5th annual meeting of the UK Plant Sciences Federation
Dr. Alan G. Jones has informed us of a conference of interest to our Association’s members: Dear UV4 Plant Secretary, I would be grateful if you could forward information to your members about the 5th annual meeting of the UK Plant Sciences Federation in UK 11-12th April 2016. The theme this year is ‘Plants in a changing world: molecule to ecosystem’.
